Dr Andrew Tyler CBE FREng

Ancient Horse Capital was founded and is managed by Dr Andrew Tyler. Andrew had a 25-year international career in executive leadership of B2B companies across marine, environmental, oil & gas, defence, aerospace, renewable energy, and construction & infrastructure.

Formerly Andrew was Group CEO of Algeco Group (now Modulaire) the $1Bn revenue modular building group, Chief Executive for Northrop Grumman's $2Bn European portfolio, and Chief Operating Officer at the MOD’s Defence Equipment & Support organisation overseeing a £16Bn equipment and support budget. Originally he spent 16 years at BMT, the engineering and technology group.

Andrew has a PhD in marine pollution and an MBA with Distinction from London Business School. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Fellow and former President of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He was made a CBE in the 2012 New Year’s Honours for services to defence.

Grown-up children, classic cars, powerlifting, England’s Test team, Ipswich Town FC, and live music all feature large outside of work.
